■3rd Person POV■

Y/N has been the Karasuno volleyball team manager for months. Right now the Karasuno male team is facing Inarizaki on the third day of Spring Interhigh. Everyone did their very best, both teams showing great play and didn't slow down for a sec.

But, the god of victory doesn't side with Karasuno today, as at the last minute the ball fell into Karasuno's court, making Inarizaki winning the game. Everyone look so down, they did their very best. Then they line up and greet the supporters on the bleachers. There are Karasuno's alumni Daichi, Asahi, Sugawara, and Shimizu, along with many other Karasuno's supporters.

After the game, everyone was taken back to the hotel. They talk inside the auditorium, as the third year is all giving encouragement to their juniors. Today's game is Nishinoya, Tanaka, Enoshita, Kinoshita, and Narita's last game as Karasuno's volleyball team. They did not shed any tears, but the 1st and 2nd year kind of teary watching as their seniors will no longer play as their teammates in the next tournament.

Nishinoya: You all will definitely try to aim for the top next year!! 

Tanaka: Let's show that the crows can fly even higher

The juniors are all listening as their senpais talk, some of their eyes are teary. Not just them, even Y/N has been holding back the tears since they were in Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium. She didn't see any of the third years shed tears, that's why she thinks she shouldn't cry either.

Enoshita rise from his spot and about to make an announcement.

Enoshita: I'm honored to have the title of the team's captain this year, but, from this day and the next year, I'm going to hand this title to Yamaguchi.

Kinoshita: we decided that Yamaguchi will be the next captain.

Yamaguchi looks flustered in his seat. Hinata lunges at him and congratulates him, along with the rest of the team. Everyone is sharing their last night in Tokyo happily. After a while, everyone returns back to their own assigned room.

When Y/N walks to her room with Yachi and one other manager from the 1st year, Y/N sees Nishinoya walking alone. He's wearing his volleyball jacket and pants and walks out of the hotel. Y/N excuses herself from the other managers and follows Nishinoya.

■Y/N's POV■

I tried to keep up with Yuu, thankfully he didn't run at a fast pace. Why is he running at this hour? The night was chilling, I just run out of the hotel without taking my jacket, it's really cold. Just when I tried to follow him without being noticed, I want to sneeze and.

Y/N: Achoo~

I stop and look up to the front, Yuu has already faced me by now. His eyes are widened, and then he jogs my way.

Nishinoya: Y/N? why are you here?

Y/N: uh... I... I'm so sorry.... I uh... I saw you walk out of the hotel.... and just... uh worried, so I followed you... I'm sorry Yuu, I do-

I stop talking when I feel something is wrapped on my shoulder. Yuu is putting his jacket on my shoulder. He's smiling at me.

Nishinoya: want to have a late-night walk around here? this is our last night in Tokyo anyway?

I can feel my cheeks grew warm, and I nod. With that Yuu and I walk together, until we found a park. We stop by the park and sit on the bench. Yuu leans his head back at the backrest and stares at the sky. I look at his face, Yuu, what is he thinking right now? how are you feeling?

just when I'm guessing about what he'd been thinking about, Yuu talks.

Nishinoya: I'm... going to retiring from volleyball

I can feel my eyes widened, I was startled by his confession. I guess I'm flustered by now, and then Yuu chuckles.

Nishinoya: it's not like I'm not going to play volleyball again, I'm just not aiming to play for professional... I might still play volleyball for fun...

Y/N: uh... I see...

Somehow I sigh in relief. 

Nishinoya: I've been thinking about it for a while that I'm not going to play volleyball after high school, but dang, I hope I can play longer with everyone

Yuu said this with a smile

Nishinoya: but, I'm not sad or regret that we lost today's game, I'm happy we did our best tod- Y/N!

I was startled when Yuu called me, I think without realizing it, my tears are rolling from my eyes. I can't hold it anymore as I finally cry. I know how hard everyone is practicing for the tournament and how they're all giving their best today, that's why when we lost, I'm so sad. I cover my face with my hands, I don't want Yuu to see me like this.

Y/N: Yuu.. (sobs) I... I'm sorry... (sobs) I just... You did great, everyone did their best... (sobs) I uh... I'm so happy to be Karasuno's manager (sobs) I'm happy to see... you play amazingly like that (sobs)... but you lost... I'm so frustrated... ( sobs)

I feel a hand on my head, lightly patting my head. I lower my hands and look up only to meet eyes with Yuu gently smiles at me.

Nishinoya: Thank you for being our manager Y/N.... thank you for crying in my place...you really are kind... I'm really glad to finally get to know you in my last year of high school...

My heart throbs with the touch of his warm hand on my head, and his gentle face in front of me. I, really love this person.

■Nishinoya's POV■

I'm frustrated that we lost today's game, but after seeing Y/N cries in my place, it makes me feel lighter inside. Y/N really can make me feel all sorts of feelings. She's kind, pretty, smart, and sweet. I'm glad I'm able to befriend her before I graduate, glad that I can be close with her. But there's one problem.

Y/N: Yuu....

I look at her face, and she smiles at me ever so sweetly, I could feel my heart was about to leap out of my chest.

Y/N: Yuu, whatever you choose after high school, I believe you'll be good at it... because, you always look cool with whatever you did... I just hope that you will always be happy and healthy...

Seeing her smiling face, so close to mine, makes me lean even closer.

Y/N: Y-Yuu?

I was snap out of my mind and shook my head internally. I pinch both of her cheeks

Nishinoya: ah haha... it's... thank you... I hope you're happy too.

I look at her face and somehow there's a streak of redness across her cheeks. She looks so cute, it's dangerous, I almost kiss her.

Yes I'm happy to be close to her

But there's a problem

I'm in love with her

I'm in love with one of the cutest girl in my year
